SUMMER PROGRAMS @ THE PLAYROOM

We host regular play groups in our Playroom for Louisville's littles. Using our training in development and behavior along with our deep love for play, we provide a safe place where any child can be successful. ALL are welcome! Summer at the Playroom is all about curiosity, creative ideas, and connection. We focus on nurturing partnerships in our community by collaborating with other local providers and groups. SUMMER 2025 PLAY GROUPS

Play Groups at Sensories' Playroom are crafted for children of ALL abilities, neurotypes, and communication styles. Our mission is for all children to have a safe place to play, connect, and learn from each other.

With mini summer sessions and drop-ins available, it's a great time to see what we're all about. Explore our Summer programs below.

Yoga @ Sensories Playroom

Story-themed yoga classes crafted for kids of all abilities. Led by our magical yoga teacher, Caitlin, with embedded OT support.

Summer Mud Kitchen with Outside the Box Therapy

All in a beautiful outdoor environment supported by a DIR-specialized, pediatric OT team at Sensories Playroom in St. Matthews.

As part of our commitment to connect with our community and expand access to our services, we are thrilled to partner with non-profit, Outside the Box Therapy, to offer our summer Mud Kitchen on a SLIDING SCALE! Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to apply for financial assistance.

Participants will benefit from:

- Enhanced gross and fine motor skills

- Sensory-rich art, music, and movement activities
- K/1 academic exposure (individualized)
- Supported social connection
- Improved confidence
- A safe, affirming environment where we seek out and magnify the unique strengths each child brings.

This weekly program runs for 6 weeks (plus one built-in makeup session if you have to miss a week). During our first session, we will screen your child to help determine their individualized plan for the remainder of the summer. You will be kept informed of activities and given carryover suggestions following each session. We can't wait to have you!

Thursdays @ 3:30-5:30 in June + July

Sensories Summer: Our Kindergarten-Readiness Program

This program is designed for:

- Children preparing to start Kindergarten, AND

- Children wrapping up Kindergarten who need a little more confidence as a learner.

Crafted and led by an Occupational Therapy team, we individually support each child to build skills needed for success in the classroom.
